That diva of daytime television and likely the world's most famous lesbian, Ellen Degeneres, delivered a commencement speech to the graduating class at Tulane University in her hometown of New Orleans over the weekend.
Degeneres delivered the university's first post-Katrina commencement speech in 2006. And as she did then, she peppered her heartfelt speech with her gentle humor, evoking laughs from the crowd.
"By the time I was your age, I thought I knew who I was, but I had no idea," DeGeneres said. "For example, when I was your age, I was dating men. So what I'm saying is, when I'm older, most of you will be gay."
In a rare moment, the funny lady also talked about
coming out and her first girlfriend, who died in a car accident when she was 19.
