Margret Cho Thinks Miley Cyrus is a Disgrace!

Miley Cyrus was quick to defend her leaked photo that lit up the blogosphere last week, which even incited a billion dollar class action lawsuit. The photo shows Cyrus and friends, including her older model boyfriend, pulling their eyes, seeming to mock the only person in the picture not participating, an Asian American.

Smiley Cyrus was quick to call foul. Taking to her blog in her own deffense, she said the face was in know way intended to mock any etnicity, claiming media scruitiny of herself is on the rise now that Britney Spears is behaving, Cyrus moaned, "I was simply making a goofy face. When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. If that would have been anyone else, it would have been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new 'BAD GIRL'!"

She did offer a half-hearted aplogy in response to the Asian-American griups that too offense Cyrus said, “some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, Im sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context!"

But the clear prejiduce and at least ignorant behavior exhibited in the picture is not being taken lightly by many of Asian descent.  Loud mouthed lovely Margeret Cho responded personally to Cyrus's racist photo expressing her view ever so cleverly as always:

Standing behind an Asian guy?

I don’t know if this should fly?

As if there wasn’t enough to despise...

I wasn’t necessarily a fan of?

Her, her dad, or Hannah Montana?

I tend to prefer the songs of Rihanna

Oh Miley!?

Chinky eyes make you look wily

prejudice isn’t thought of so highly

it doesn’t make us all smiley

Why is there nothing that Asians can do??

To make fun of other races as easily as you?

Why isn’t racism against Asians taboo??

Why are we always so racially screwed!

All you have to do is pull at your face?

To make your eyelids resemble our race?

This kind of joke has no proper place

Well, it seems Cyrus got the message.  Instead of complaining about all the scrutiny, she has relinquished her attitude and is offering a more sincere aplogy.  Her newest blog update included this message, “"I have learned a valuable lesson from this and know that sometime my actions can be unintentionally hurtful. I know everything is a part of GODs [sic] ultimate plan, and mistakes happen so that eventually I will become the woman he aspires me to be. Peace and love, Miles."”

Celebrities should probably ease of the digital snaps for a while.  Will they ever learn they always seem to fall into the wrong hands?
