Megan Fox Weighs in on Charges She's the New Angelina Jolie

Hottie Megan Fox put in her two cents on the many comparisons to Angelina Jolie in an new interview with Entertainment Weekly. Hottie Megan Fox put in her two cents on the many comparisons to Angelina Jolie in the latest Entertainment Weekly interview. Since her role in 2007's summer blockbuster, Transformers, the media has been quick to call Fox 'the new Angelina.'

When asked if she wanted to follow in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron and transition from sex symbol to serious actress -- or better yet, play lesbian like they both have -- she was adamant in her declaration that she and the Oscar-winning actress don't have a lot in common. "I think it's a lack of creativity on the media's part. Because I have tattoos and dark hair and I was in an action movie? That's as far as the similarities extend. I'm not the next anyone."

Despite her protests on the matter, Fox only had kind words to say about Jolie. "She always seems otherworldly in her power and her confidence," Fox told EW.

Jolie, 34, became a breakout star with her portrayal of Lara Croft in the film Tomb Raider but she had also garnered two Golden Globe Awards prior to big box office. The first was for her role in George Wallace and the second was for her portrayal of troubled, lesbian supermodel Gia Carrangi in HBO's Gia.

Fox, while having appeared in several movies, is best known for her role as Mikaela Banes in Transformers. She will reprise the role in the upcoming summer sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
