Sarah Palin will be doing Oprah. Oprah Winfrey will interview the former Alaska governor for The Oprah Winfrey Show, scheduled to air November 16, 2009. The two women have never met, and the show will be Palin’s first interview discussing her new book Going Rogue: An American Life.
Sarah Palin will be doing Oprah. Oprah Winfrey will interview the former Alaska governor for The Oprah Winfrey Show, scheduled to air November 16, 2009. The two women have never met, and the show will be Palin’s first interview discussing her new book Going Rogue: An American Life.
Following her decision to resign from her position as governor of Alaska, her home state, and the day before her book release, Palin talks first to Oprah for the exclusive interview.
The interview is a surprise to some since the controversy around Oprah and what guests she had on her show leading up to the 2008 election. Oprah had banned Sixpack from her show close to the election following a couple of appearances from then Democratic candidate Barack Obama.
Some critics accused Oprah of using her show to help get Obama elected. At the time, Palin was in high demand, while Oprah pointedly stated she was through having Presidential candidates on her show. However, this interview will no doubt help boost the sales of Palin’s book.
Harpo has not released where the interview will take place, according to newsday.com.
