Watch the moment security gave the very embarrassing congresswoman the boot.

rachiepants

Lauren Boebert reportedly made a fool of herself and was ejected from a stage performance of the musical Beetlejuice. Boebert behaving embarrassingly and making a mockery of herself and her role as a congresswoman? Must be a day that ends with Y.

According to The Denver Post, the far-right politician was reportedly “vaping, singing, recording and ‘causing a disturbance’ during the performance.”

In a report shared with the publication officials with Denver Arts & Venues detailed an incident in which two patrons were asked to leave the Buell Theatre during a performance of the Broadway show. They were first issued a warning during the intermission regarding behavior that had resulted in three complaints from fellow audience members.

While Boebert is not named in the report, her campaign office confirmed that she was one of the patrons removed from the performance, according to The Denver Post.

According to the incident report, shortly after receiving the warning during the intermission, the security officials at the theater received another complaint about a loud audience member who was also recording the performance, which is not permitted during shows.

“They told me they would not leave,” reads the report. “I told them that they need to leave the theater and if they do not, they will be trespassing. The patrons said they would not leave. I told them I would (be) going to get Denver Police. They said go get them.”

While Drew Sexton, the campaign manager for Boebert, denied that the congresswoman was vaping in the theater she corroborates some of the accounts. “I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of ‘Beetlejuice,’ ” Sexton wrote in a statement.

According to the report after the two patrons were escorted out of the theater, they refused to leave the building’s vestibule, reportedly saying “stuff like ‘do you know who I am,’ ‘I am on the board’ (and) ‘I will be contacting the mayor.’ ”

Weird — embarrassing — flex.

Police arrived on the scene and stayed in the lobby until Boebert and her companion left, according to the report.

Just for that extra bit of delicious cringe. The Buell Theater released the surveillance footage of Boebert getting the boot.

Let’s just hope we see the Halls of Congress do something similar in 2024
