Rihanna Completely Slays in N.E.R.D's Comeback Single
N.E.R.D is back, and they just busted through the door with a hot new single called "Lemon!"
The beloved trio of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Hayley haven’t released an album since their 2010 masterpiece, Nothing, due in large part to Pharrell’s solo career (which has obviously exploded in the past seven years).
The best part is that queen of everything Rihanna raps in the new single. While she’s dabbled with rapping in the past, like in "Bitch Better Have Money" and "Nothing Is Promised," this feels like the most complete rap verse Rih has ever spit. It's literally her and the beat.
Needless to say, Rihanna slays. She may even be taking a dig at (or simply referencing) Beyoncé in the song, saying "I pull up with a lemon...your eyes get acidic."
