As lesbians, we often get asked this question : "Is lesbian and gay sex REAL sex?" Well, what defines sex? The dictionary has a few different meanings...and so do people. Some say it's anything being penetrated by a penis and to that I say "I guess we can fuck around with your girlfriend, Mr. Straight Guy, and it not be considered cheating." How do you define sex?

We're gonna need a moment just to take this all in. The shoulders, the shoes, the details. Teyana Taylor cut quite a striking figure on the runway in her custom ensemble designed by Ruth E. Carter.
While we’re normally focused on their performance on the court — and occasionally their love lives — during this year’s WNBA Draft we followed all of the breaking news but also kept our eyes glued to the fab fits the ladies were pulling off on the red carpet.
The Dallas Wings had the first pick last night and went with Paige Bueckers, who took home the Natty this year, but star players Dominique Malonga, Kiki Iriafen, Sonia Citron, Aneesah Morrow, and Shyanne Sellers were all picked early too.
And while they may be stuck wearing uniforms most of the time, these WNBA rookies know how to put a look together. Boring business-causal draft ensembles are a thing of the past, now these top-of-their-game athletes are rocking fashion that would be a hit on any red carpet.
Last year Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark, Daisha Fair, and Rickea Jackson slayed at the WNBA Draft ’24, but not to be outdone, the rookie class of 2025 was serving looks.
We know who dominates on the court, but who wowed us with their fashion sense last night?

These gal pals have such great chemistry and look like they’re always having such a good time together that we can’t help but wish they were the real-life version of the “they were roommates” meme.
A girl can dream, right?!
(To be clear, no one is outing anyone, or really suggesting they date. We're just shippin' here because we love these friendships so much.)

Ok, so out actress Sarah Paulson may be in an adorable age-gap relationship with Holland Taylor, but that doesn’t stop us from thinking Paulson and longtime best friend Amanda Peet don’t look great together!
The two women met back in 1999 on the set of Jack & Jill, and have been friends ever since — Paulson, was even in the delivery room when Peet became a mom. They have been photographed together countless times, even kissing on the red carpet at the Golden Globe awards in 2012. So cute!

Forever It girls Chloë Sevigny and Natasha Lyonne have been what Sapphic dreams are made of since they became besties in the ‘90s. Since then, they’ve starred in four movies together, and continue to make lesbians everywhere swoon anytime these BFFs are spotted together.
Are they both straight? Yes, but the way Sevigny talks about being “jealous” of Lyonne’s relationship with Eddie Furlong in a New York Times interview has our overactive imaginations running wild! “I was jealous and wanted to bask in her glow, love and adoration, but I rolled with it because I was so attracted to her and her energy,” Sevigny explained. “She was just a whirlwind. She had so much fire in her. I didn’t find many actresses, early in my career, that I identified with. But Natasha and I were interested in a lot of the same things, and there was a deeper connection. It was like, ‘That’s my person. But she’s falling in love and she’s got to do that, so I’m going to find her later on.’ Which I did.”

Megan Thee Stallion and Yung Miami might not be besties yet, but Miami made it clear back in 2023 that she’d love to “smash” the “WAP” singer — a sentiment we fully understand!
While on an episode of The Jason Lee Show, she said, “Imma smash all day and tomorrow. Megan just give me, like… she really can, like, take me up and throw [me] down.” ‘Nuff said!

Jasmine Savory Brown and Sophie Thatcher both star in Yellowjackets where their characters are stranded together in the wilderness. In real life, the two became close while stranded on a set together as they filmed the first three seasons of the popular horror series.
“Off screen, we are constantly cracking jokes, exchanging memes and going out to dinner. One of the things I value most about friendship is laughter. Life is full of difficult seasons and having people that love you to bring levity to those moments is worth more than gold,” Brown told The Face about her behind-the-scenes friendships with her costars.

Out model and actress Cara Delevingne and The Substance star Margret Qualley have been friends for years, even sparking dating rumors in 2020 after Delevingne posted an Instagram tribute to her BFF after the two quarantined together during the COVID-19 lockdown.
This year, the pair were spotted together at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where they were photographed looking cozy together! Yep, we ship it!
Mariska Hargitay & Maria Bello

Actress Mariska Hargitay and Maria Bello have been making fans wish they were really “roommates” and not just friends since they first started being photographed together in the ‘90s after becoming fast friends on the the set of ER. Hargitay's Olivia Benson on Law & Order SVU may be everyone's dream lesbian boyfriend, but apparently, she's married to actor Peter Hermann in real life — how rude!
“We were so different, and yet we magnetically came together,” Hargitay said of their friendship in an interview with Forbes when Bello’s book Whatever Love Is Love which she wrote after coming out publicly.
Olivia Rodrigo & Tate McRae

Pop girlies Olivia Rodrigo and Tate McRae certainly could have been mistaken for “roommates” when they were photographed looking cozy together courtside at an LA Lakers game last year, but alas, fate didn't put them together as lovers, they're just BFFs.
While the two singers could easily be rivals, instead they’ve formed a friendship based on being each other’s cheerleader. In 2023, McRae even appeared in Rodrigo’s “bad idea, right?” music video, and the pair have toured together as well. We love this friendship so much!
Michelle Williams & Busy Philipps

Millennials have been dreaming of this pairing since Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps first met in the ‘90s on the set of Dawson’s Creek. The two women had instant chemistry, which has only been made glaringly obvious as they’ve been photographed looking cute together countless times in the decades since their friendship started, which inevitably sends lesbians into a Sapphic spiral every time!
Greta Gerwig & Saoirse Ronan
Greta Gerwig and Saoirse Ronan have collaborated on award-winning movies Lady Bird and Little Women, but it’s their behind-the-scenes relationship that has fans swooning. The director and her star/muse became fast friends, making movies together, and have been photographed looking cozy and embracing at award shows for years.
"I feel like we both grew into another thing together, which is the joy of working with someone like this," Gerwig told Nylon of her friendship with Ronan. "I hope we get to be old ladies together making movies about old ladies." Can you turn into an OWL if you weren't a young, naive lesbian (a YNL?) in the first place? Probably not, but these two would qualify if you could!
Kate McKinnon & Leslie Jones

We know that out actress Kate McKinnon and her former Saturday Night Live costar Leslie Jones are strictly platonic besties, but their friendship gives us so much joy.
After filming Ghostbusters together, McKinnon toldRefinery 21 just how tight their friendship had gotten. “Leslie and I have worked together for two years at SNL,” she said. “We were very close by the time we got there to film and got so much closer, pathologically closer over the course of the summer in fact.” Adorable.
Amanda Seyfried's résumé speaks for itself. Mamma Mia, Jennifer's Body, Mean Girls, Les Misérables... there's simply too many legendary characters that this talented actress has portrayed on the big and small screens.
Although her impressive career showcases a wide range of diverse roles throughout the years, one thing has been consistent since day one. The LGBTQ+ community has fallen in love with quite literally anything Seyfried has to offer and it's a blessing she doesn't take for granted.
"I just exist to make you guys happy! I've just been lucky to be part of these iconic movies. I'm an ally and we all enjoy the same things. It's hell out there, especially right now. We have these touchstones to fall back on. We're more alike than we are different, even in this f'ed up country," Seyfried tells PRIDE.
With so much chaos happening politically around the world, Seyfried is well aware that her renowned filmography brings peace and escapism to people who could really use it at this time.
"We can overcome the bulls***. We can actually enjoy each other and what art has to offer. Now more than ever, you've got to click on Mamma Mia or Clueless or Troop Beverly Hills. We are living in a world where we have to rely on these movies more than ever and Mamma Mia just happens to be one of them. Thank the Lord for putting me in that movie and for putting Cher in the second one!"
Speaking of escapism, Seyfried's latest role in the thrilling new Peacock series Long Bright River tackles heavy topics that'll be sure to resonate with audiences dealing with very real struggles in their personal lives.
"I'm always looking for a challenge. This was a pretty important story to tell. We've seen stories about the opioid epidemic and it hits all of us. It's a global thing. This perspective seemed really important and really responsible and really respectful of the community. I never want to stop telling stories about this crisis."
Seyfried is in good company on this new show as she stars alongside an incredibly talented ensemble cast, which includes Nicholas Pinnock, John Doman, and Ashleigh Cummings.
With important themes like drug addiction, sex work, and crime addressed head-on in Long Bright River, the overall core messages of unity, family, and love will certainly hit home for viewers in the LGBTQ+ community.
"I hope people really shift their perspective. It's one thing seeing it in the media. These are people and there's a community that really does care. We're not so different most of the time," Pinnock says.
"There is a healthy amount of dissociation and escapism. It's asking you to stay present with things that are uncomfortable. That's really powerful filmmaking. It has powerful messaging alongside all the suspense," Cummings adds.
"Everybody has their story. A lot of people will be able to relate to this dealing with loss and trying to make sure that your family feels the love that they need and deserve," Doman concludes.
Long Bright River is streaming now on Peacock. To see the full interview with Amanda Seyfried, check out the video at the top of the page.
