Veteran actress Phylicia Rashad will channel the same alpha female spirit since her Claire Huxtable days, but this time by playing the role of Georgia Howe, the head of the FBI’s Civil Rights Division in a new CBS pilot called For Justice. Not only is her character a smart and savvy leader within her division, she’s a lesbian who draws upon her life experience overcoming prejudices based on her race and sexual orientation to be one of the top players in Washington, DC. To hook you in even more, the first episode of the show is directed by Selma’s Ava DuVernay. Be sure to keep an eye out for this show.
