Professor Kendall Jenner Rocks the Vote and Teaches Us a History Lesson on Women's Suffrage

It's hard to get young people to vote. According to The Economist, in the 2010 midterm elections, only a devastatingly low 21% of people aged 18 to 24 placed their ballots in.

But for next year's upcoming presidential race, the Rock the Vote campaign is using their trademark partnerships with some of pop culture's biggest names to help inspire the youth to get out there and let their political voices be heard, and in the case of their newest video for IJ.com, that inspiration is supermodel and reality TV star Kendall Jenner.

Playing the role of history professor, Kendall takes us through a brief lesson of the suffragettes, and their struggle to win the right to vote for women.

"Because of suffragettes and their battle, gender doesn't matter," Kendall says at the end of the video, where she goes from wearing turn-of-the-century garb (the type many suffragettes wore) to more modern, everyday clothing. "But your vote always can."

If there's one thing this video motivated us to do, it's to get up off of our young, lazy bums and go vote. Women fought hard for voting equality, so why shouldn't we?! (Also, we wish Kendall Jenner would be there to teach us more important history lessons. Maybe we would have had more fun learning in school...)
