Gabriella Grime's Colorful Artwork Depicts the Beauty of Queer POC

Gabriella Grimes is a Black queer artist whose mission is to help young, queer people of color understand that they are both valid and important. The 23-year-old New Yorker focuses on portraying QPOC in a manner that challenges common perceptions of race, gender, and sexuality in the Western world. They want their viewers to question society’s rigid views of the gender binary, and ask why individuals expect artists to adhere to this binary. Their touching artwork also depicts the humanity of people of color, showing them hurting, healing, and simply living happily.
