Zane Phillips and Froy Gutierrez are Instagram official and absolutely gorgeous.

Phillips (Fire Island, Glamorous) and Gutierrez (Cruel Summer, Teen Wolf) first debuted their romance back in June with some major PDA at the Gitano Island Pride Party in New York City. However, rumors about their budding connection began back in May when the two were spotted getting cozy by the dance floor at a line dance bar.

Happily, they’re still going strong — and shirtless — on their social media. The question is, will this epic love story be endgame or a short and passionate fling? While only time can truly tell, we can get some hints from the stars.

Phillips was born on Nov. 25, 1993, under the sign of Sagittarius, and Gutierrez’s birthday is April 27, 1998, which makes him a Taurus. At first glance, these signs seem like a mismatch. After all, Taurus is a grounded earth sign whereas Sagittarius is a wild-at-heart fire sign, both of whom desire and need fundamentally different things in a relationship.

But, don’t panic, there is hope for these two; they can be able to go the distance, but at the very least this is going to be very steamy in the short term. Here’s what we can divine about their relationship dynamic based on their astrological compatibility.

Passion and physical intimacy is going to be through the roof.

While Sagittarius and Taurus can be a bit of a mismatch (don’t worry we’ll get to that in a minute), one place where they have no trouble connecting is in the bedroom. Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet associated with both love and sensuality, and it shows. This sign craves physical affection and affirmation, so they always want to be touching, caressing, and connecting sexually with their partner. They get lost in the world of sensation and their taste for luxury means it will all be going down on some ridiculously high-count thread sheets. That is unless an adventurous Saggitarirus gets its way.

Like Taurus Sagittarius is highly sexual and sensual but they are more adventurous and like to explore in — and often outside — the bedroom. They are the free spirit of the zodiac who has a deep connection to nature so their ideal lovemaking spot is under a sky full of stars, the beach with the tide caressing their toes, or, well, honestly anywhere the mood strikes. They’re uninhibited and curious and driven by the need for new sensations and experiences, so there’s never a dull moment in bed with a Sag.

Good communication skills are make-or-break for these two signs.

While Sagittarius and Taurus have got the pillow talk on lock, they’re going to have to put in the effort to make sure that they can communicate just as openly outside of the bedroom. Because for these two signs, their ability to get on and stay on the same page is going to be make or break.

Taurus is very grounded and realistic in its approach to life — chalk it up to being an earth sign. They’re domestic and desire stability and security in their lives and their romances. They want to spend as much time as possible with their partner and are always looking toward the future and taking that next step.

Sagittarius, alternatively, values freedom above all else. They are used to being able to do what they want, go where they want, and see who they want, whenever they please. Thus, relationships with someone who desires structure can create problems for Sag. It’s important to find that balance of meeting both of these needs, being open to compromise, and being honest about speaking up when things are and aren’t working.

Both signs also tend to be sensitive, and when wounded Sagittarius runs, while Taurus gets stubborn. So, avoiding conflict with healthy, constructive communication is key.

This pair takes work, but it’s worth it. And if that effort isn’t put forth, serious issues can arise...

Trust may become their biggest stumbling block.

The biggest challenge these two signs face is trust. While that early rush of new relationship energy can help forge a bridge of confidence between the two, their differing needs can erode it quickly. As Taurus pushes forward for a more serious relationship, Sagittarius can reflexively pull away, feeling like their freedom is being limited. This reaction, in turn, makes Taurus push harder, then get stubborn, shut down, and become suspicious. Sagittarius responds to this by at first becoming resentful, then increasingly secretive and withdrawn.

It can quickly equal a death spiral for a Sag and Taurus romance. So, the key here is to get in front of this chain reaction and prevent it before it begins. That means being honest about what they need but also being open to prioritizing the needs of their partner and finding some middle ground. It also means being willing to have conflict right away and never, ever, let those feelings fester and grow.

While it’s not an easy pairing by any stretch, the work is worth the reward. These differences breed conflict but also massive opportunities for personal growth. Sagittarius can open Taurus’s eyes to new horizons, experiences, and ways of thinking that expand their world beyond what they could have ever imagined. Taurus can offer a deep, passionate, and loyal kind of love that Sagittarius thought existed only in songs. Plus, a sense of home and belonging that this wild child never knew they always really needed. It can be beautiful if they put in the effort.

We’re rooting for you, Zane and Froy!
