You always suspected that Kurt and Blaine's big gay romance was going to hit some hurdles, didn't you? Now Billboard reveals some saucy info about the super cute new character named Sebastian (including this exclusive photo), and from the quote it sounds like he's ready to get up in Blaine's business—Santana style.
Grant Gustin is the actor playing Sebastian, a new Warbler at Dalton Academy where Blaine and Kurt used to attend. Sebastian makes his first appearance on next week's November 8th episode, and Billboard will offer their full interview with the actor on Monday the 7th, but they did give us this quick teaser:
Grant Gustin: "Sebastian is new to Dalton. He's a gay character, obviously, but he's kind of a new type of gay character. He's someone you wouldn't necessarily know is gay unless you asked him, but he'd be the first person to tell you. He's very confident and comfortable with who he is and what he wants. Darren (Criss) was that new confident strong gay character, and Sebastian is taking that a step further. He's a guys-guy, just a dude who happens to be gay. He's a lacrosse player, he's popular. He's after Blaine, obviously, and he's also trying to take the place that Blaine had as the leader of the Warblers. He's been referred to as a villain, which I guess is true in the sense that he's going to get what he wants and he doesn't care who he steps on along the way, but he does so with a smile on his face."
While we're totally excited for a gay love triangle on Glee, the bigger question at this point is what's going to happen with Brittana (Naya Rivera and Heather Morris) on tonight's episode? For weeks EOnline has been releasing teasers about Brittany and Santana, the cutest couple on Primetime this side of Calzona, becoming a full-on item in the Nov. 1, episode.
"I'm also told that Finn (Cory Monteith) will get into the mix when Santana tries to hide her relationship with Brittany. He'll call her out on her hypocrisy and forces her to deal with it. Word is, these Naya-Cory scenes are fantastic," E's Kristin Dos Santos wrote early last month.
If the promise of Santana and Brittany becoming more involved than just getting their "sweet lady kisses on" or crooning to "Landslide" (although those were both terrific) weren't enough rumor has it that tonight's episode will feature powerhouses Santana and Mercedes (Amber Riley) sharing leads on an Adele match-up for the show's 300th musical number. HOT!
With the addition of the new gay character that brings the show's tally of LGB characters up to six including Kurt, Blaine, Karofsky, Sebastian, Brittany and Santana. So set your DVR's and prepare to get your Glee on!
