‘Strange Frame’ 1st Animated Lesbian Film Debuts Exclusive Clips at Bent-Con

The voice talents of legends including Tim Curry, George Takei, Juliet Landau, and Claudia Christian and fresh animation bring this futuristic lesbian drama to creative life.

Producer, director and animator G.B. Hajim's and writer Shelley Doty's Strange Frame will debut exclusive clips at Bent-Con in Los Angeles on December 3.

With the voice talents of legendary icons including Tim Curry (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Claudia Black (Stargate SG1), George Takei (Star Trek, Heroes), Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Serenity, Transformers), Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Claudia Christian (Babylon5), Strange Frame boldly brings an epic, futuristic lesbian drama to creative life with fresh animation.

200 years after the Great Earth Exodus, Strange Frame‘s heroine, Parker leaves the comforts of her previous life and falls in love with beautiful songwriter Naia, who is genetically engineered and enslaved to be a miner. The lovers form a band but soon Naia is enslaved again, this time by the seductive spotlight of stardom. Facing the obstacles of fame in the future, Parker sets out on a quest to save Naia and redeem their love.

The awesome does not stop there, my fellow sci-fi nerds. THE Roger Waters gave them a Pink Floyd song because “the innovative combination of style and content resonated with him,” and “Academy Award winner, Gary Rizzo (Inception, Titanic, Star Wars, Dark Knight, andThe Incredibles) is doing the sound mix at Skywalker Ranch.”

Fans can get involved and support the film by joining the Kickstarter campaign.

Catch exclusive Strange Frame clips on December 3 as part of Bent-Con's Flix After Dark Program and a panel discussion of the film with the co-writer, Shelley Doty, on December 4 at 5pm. Both events are at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. Also on December 4 at 1pm, Shelley will be joining Wendy Pini (Elfquest) and Jane Espenson (Buffy, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Dollhouse, Caprica) on the panel “Women Make Queer Genre”.
