Eva Green, the Casino Royale Bond film bombshell, may be swapping 007 for 300, according to an attractive bit of action film franchise casting news.
Green is currently in talks to star in a female-driven prequel, 300: Battle of Artemisia, as a the golden goddess Artemisia. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the title role is a gold-covered villain who manipulates the Persian king Xerxes to go to war with the Spartans. The 2013 prequel is to be directed by Noam Murro for a 2013 release.
Green, who is Parisian born and raised, will next appear in Tim Burton's Gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows, opposite Johny Depp.
