Attention Pretty Little Liars fans: Emily’s lady friend Maya (Bianca Lawson) has spilled some news – both good and bad – about what is in store for Rosewood’s token lesbian couple, according to HollywoodLife.

Lawson said that “there will be some hurdles” for the adorable duo. Remember that bombshell Maya dropped on Emily (Shay Mitchell) a few weeks ago about her hook-up with a guy while she was away? That news is nothing compared to what is coming.

“There are other things, independent of that situation, that will come in and create tension,” Lawson revealed. “That’s not going to be their biggest hurdle.”

As much as we just want to see the couple happy, what fun is a lesbian TV couple free from drama? Not to mention, it wouldn’t be PLL without some intense shake-ups every now and again.

But, on the upside, Lawson did also reveal that the hurdles are not strong enough to ruin what the girls have going, but instead “strengthen and deepen their relationship. It’s like a lot of relationships: It grows and sprouts and is amazing, but nothing can stay the same forever. There will be challenges.”

As for what those challenges are, Lawson said there was supposed to be a confrontation between Paige (Lindsey Shaw) and Maya in one of her episodes, but ended up having to be changed.

“It was so deliciously written, and I was so excited to meet and work with Lindsey,” Lawson revealed. “But then something came up — I think it was just a scheduling conflict — and it never got to happen. So that had to be sort of rewritten and changed.”

And, thus, we will just have to wait and see what challenges Emily and Maya face in the future. What do you think the hurdles might be?
