We're starting to think pop-country darling Taylor Swift can't take a joke.

Responding to a minor dig Golden Globes hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey launched at Swift about her ever-growing list of ex-boyfriends, Swift quoted former secretary of state Madeline Albright in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.

"You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people,” Swift tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Nancy Jo Sales on the subject of mean girls in general and in response to an incident at this year’s Golden Globes, where Amy Poehler and Tina Fey mocked her highly scrutinized love life. “Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’”

Poehler responded with characteristic aplomb.

"Aw, I feel bad if she was upset," the Parks and Recreation star toldThe Hollywood Reporter. "I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff. "

Fey, for her part, was surprised that the starlet took the jab so seriously. "If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron," Fey toldEntertainment Tonight. "I did not see that one coming. It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke."

For the record, here's what Fey and Poehler said about Swift at the Globes (along with a few other comedic gems from the show):
