Alison Pill Replaces Ellen Page in Lesbian Werewolf Film 'Jack and Diane'

It looks like Milk actress Alison Pill will be replacing Juno star Ellen Page in the upcoming lesbian werewolf love story Jack and Diane.

According to the official website for Jack and Diane and writer/director Bradley Rust Gray, Ellen Page is no longer attached to the lesbian werewolf flick. Instead, Alison Pill will step in to co-star with Olivia Thirlby -- who played Leah in Juno -- in the film.

Jack and Diane revolves around two teenage girls who meet in New York City and instantly fall for each other. It’s a typical teenage lesbian love story until Diane discovers her lust for Jack has turned her into a werewolf -- and not a pretty, sexy werewolf. No, Diane goes from cute, sweet girl to an icky, nasty werewolf nobody wants to snog.

"It's going to be gross and scary," Gray says of the film. We don't mind the gross and scary part so much, especially since the official web site states that Jack and Diane spend a large chunk of time "kissing ferociously."

Pill, who starred as Anne Kronenberg in the Oscar-nominated Milk, and co-star Olivia Thirlby look like they could make a very tasty couple - when one of them isn't trying to eat the other one with giant ugly teeth, that is.

No word yet on when exactly Jack and Diane will be shooting, although IMDd.com lists the film for release in 2010.

More on the film.
