The good news is that Erica Kane's lesbian daughter is returning to All My Children's Pine Valley. The bad news for Eden Riegel fans is that newcomer Christina Bennett Lind is stepping into Bianca's shoes and replacing Riegel, according to ETonline.

"I am thrilled to welcome Christina Bennett Lind to the cast of All My Children. The role of Bianca is quite special. She is the moral compass of the show. I am confident that Christina's talent and sensibility will allow this character to continue to thrive," executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers told ET.

Lind has done extensive stage work and appeared on As the World Turns, according to TV Guide Magazine.

Throughout the years Bianca's storyline has continually broken ground with her coming out as a lesbian in 2000 and with the daytime's first lesbian wedding between Riegel's Bianca and her partner Reese, played by daytime stalwart Tamara Braun. Bianca's coming out storyline made her daytime's first contracted lesbian character.

The show's storyline has Bianca returning to Pine Valley in search of her mother, Susan Lucci's Erica Kane, whose private plane has vanished. But fans of the Bianca and Reese relationship, don't get too excited as Braun's character Reese stays behind in Paris to take care of their two kids, according to TV Guide.

“I have talked to Tamara about coming back, but I don’t know schedules and availability and such. I don’t want to recast Reese, so it’s up in the air at the moment," Carruthers told TV Guide.

Lind begins her run on June 14, 2010 weekdays on ABC.
