Recently dubbed “Best Local Band” by GO Magazine, the sexy Canadian-born rock stars that make up the glitz-induced band Hunter Valentine (Kiyomi M, Adrienne Lloyd and Laura Petracca) will be joining forces with fellow Tommy Boy labelmate The Cliks for their highly-anticipated summer tour. Joining them on the road will be L.A.-based musician Killola. The tenacious trio will jointly embark across the United States on a summer tour touching ground in 19 different cities ranging from San Diego to Austin, Seattle and San Francisco.
The Do-It-Yourself attitudes of Hunter Valentine and The Cliks bind the bands together on more levels that one. With both knockout groups originally hailing from their native Canada, the musical sensations have a lot to prove in the United States and are carving out a niche in the hearts of millions to do just that. Believing that confidence, in-your-face gumption and tireless effort are all necessary qualities to have along the golden sunny path to success, The Cliks and Hunter Valentine will keep you pumped up and boiling hot. Internet sensation Killola will add a spicy effect to the other two groups and aid in constructing a one-of-a-kind musical masterpiece on wheels.
The Cliks are renowned for their live stage performances so concert attendees can expect high energy, edginess and enough rock to delay your coffee intake in the morning. MTV’s Logo awarded The Cliks the NewNowNext “Artist On the Brink” award which eventually led them to be featured on MTV’s now-defunct Total Request Live. In 2010, the band performed at Toronto Pride with True Colors legend Cyndi Lauper. Their latest album is titled Dirty King (2009).
Hunter Valentine exemplifies pure unadulterated (and sometimes adulterated) lyrics and accompanying haunting music. Their songs are honest with no frills and relate to the heart of the subjects and fans listening, almost as if in a spying manner. “Canadian female rockers Hunter Valentine are destined for greatness with their energetic, in your face melodic rock” said Sinister Girlz. Their new release is titled Lessons from the Late Night (2010).
Killola uses their dog tag technique to bring their music to all of their fans from the inside of the album out via the internet. Their new wave of relating to fans in such a fashion has the town talking. In fact, their entire second album was “freeleased” on the internet via USB bracelet. Musical comparisons can be made to Killola in regards to sounding like a cross between 4 Non Blondes, Hole, Cheap Trick and Fall Out Boy.
