January Jones, aka Betty Draper from Mad Men, has apparently been pulling a few Lohan-type stunts recently. Between getting busted by paparazzi earlier this week doing a "walk of shame," climbing out of a cab in her dress from a big event the night before (good for January!), and running her Range Rover into three parked cars then fleeing the scene last night, we could have another LiLo on our hand very soon. How do we like the moniker JanJo?
TMZ reports that LAPD said January was driving a 'Rover at 9:00 pm, when she supposedly lost control, hit the parked cars and caused some pretty major damage. A witness apparently reported the ordeal to police and claimed January left the scene on foot after saying, "I can't deal with this commotion."
January did return to the scene while LAPD was investigating the scene, and claimed she left because paparazzi were hot on her trail, which seems plausible since it was just the other day that she was busted doing a classic "walk of shame, with photos of her arriving home in a taxi, sporting the same outfit from the previous night's event, flooding the internet all day.
As for the new drama, TMZ got word from police that JanJo watched the Lakers lose at The London West Hollywood, then drove home. With paparazzi harassing her after striking the three cars, she walked the whole half a block to her house, leaving her license at the scene, and called 911. Dispatch told JanJo that police were already on scene, so she went back.
There will not be a hit-and-run investigation, and there was no sobriety test administered due to the absence of any evidence of alcohol being involved. However, JanJo's car was impounded. Someone get Betty Draper a fainting couch STAT!
I say that JanJo should just put all blame on the Lakers losing. Its an excuse anyone who sees the madness that is Los Angeles right now will fully understand and believe. No need to waste the 'paparazzi made me do it' excuse this time.
