SheWired�s Shot of the Day: Gorgeous Amber Riley Glows in �Essence�

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value.

Today’s shot of the day packs a contagious amount of Gleeful energy courtesy of the luminous Amber Riley, posing for her first fashion spread ever, in Essence magazine.

I think we can all agree the mega-talented actress behind Glee’s Mercedes should be working it in fashion mags more often! Celeb shutterbug Derek Blanks shot 24-year-old Riley for Essence’s March issue, on sale February 11. Amber revealed: “My inspiration for this Essence photo shoot - my very first fashion feature! - was Chaka Khan. She’s my favorite artist!” Take  a peak at some behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot.
