Tori Spelling Comes Out for the NOH8 Campaign and Brings Along the Whole Family

Tori Spelling has always been a huge advocate for gay rights and marriage equality and now she is showing her “true colors” even more than ever before. Tori, husband Dean McDermott and their children Liam and Stella posed for Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley’s fame-escalating NOH8 Campaign and put their hearts and their faces on the line to stand up against hate and Proposition 8.

Spelling signed onto her celebrity Twitter account (@ToriandDean) at 2:27pm on August 12, 2010 to deliver the following message to fans: “Just finished our family portrait for @NOH8Campaign proud moment for The McDermotts! #NOH8.” The Oxygen star mom and her scrumptious tots were spotted in Los Angeles following the photoshoot and they were sporting their NOH8 removable tattoos on their faces and arms.

The Spelling-McDermott family is standing up for the cause they believe in and hold very dear to their hearts. Best friends and “Guncles” Scott Masterson and Bill Horn have been featured on their Tori and Dean show on Oxygen and we have all watched as they publicly and privately fought for the opportunity to adopt a child together (they have since successfully adopted a baby by the name of Simone).

Tori has said the following in regards to same-sex marriage and equal rights. ”The good news is that things are changing, generationally. My kids will grow up in a house knowing that it’s perfectly normal for two men to be in love, it’s perfectly normal for two women to be in love.”

According to their official website:

Nearly two years since its inception, the NOH8 Campaign has grown to over 5,500 faces and continues to grow at an exponential rate. The campaign began with portraits of everyday Californians from all walks of life and soon rose to include politicians, military personnel, newlyweds, law enforcement, artists, celebrities, and many more.

NOH8 Campaign co-founder Jeff Parshley (famed celebrity photographer Adam Bouska is also a co-founder) told SheWired exclusively “"This couldnt have been a more perfect day for Tori and her family to come out and support the NOH8 Campaign. Tori was in the studio when the judge announced that they were going lift the stay on same sex marriages. Being an Ordained Minister, Tori is happy and willing to perform same sex ceremonies.”

The NOH8 Campaign has hosted some of the most famous stars in television and film today. Some of the well-known household names include Glee’s Jane Lynch, Marlee Matlin, the Kardashians, Meghan McCain, Gloria Allred, Laura Ling, Tracy Young, SheWired’s own Cherry Bomb, Cathy DeBuono, Jill Bennett, Chrystal Chappell, Tila Tequila and others. (Side note – your favorite editors and contributors, ah hem, me, have also posed for the NOH8 Campaign!).

We don't have Tori's NOH8 photo yet but we'll post it as soon as it's available.
