After multiple women accused film producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, actor Terry Crews bravely decided to share his own story of harassment in the film industry. "This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD," he tweeted. "Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME."

The former NFL star has been outspoken about his sexual assault at the hands of a Hollywood executive, but not everyone is supportive of how vocal Crews' has been. He's has been getting abuse from online trolls:

Crews responded to the tweet, and his reply quickly went viral:

Crews stayed silent after his assault because of the fear of being ostracized by the film industry, "par 4 the course when the predator has power n influence."

Male abuse survivors can face more challenges when they speak up about sexual assault because of social ideas surrounding masculinity, and attacks on Crews' manhood have been common since opening up about his assault to the world in October.

Keep bringing to light to this serious issue, Terry!
