If the Queen of Christmas says it's time, then it's time!

Well, girls and gays, the moment we've been waiting for all year is now upon us: it's socially acceptable to listen to holiday music.

Halloween has come and gone, and now it's officially the start of the holiday season. Those of us who love this time of year can now shamelessly start blasting Christmas-themed jams with reckless abandon, but whose authority are we basing this off of, you ask? The elusive chanteuse and the veritable Queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey, of course!

In a hilariously over-the-top and delightfully extra video that was posted across her social media platforms exactly as the clock struck midnight last night, Mimi can be seen transforming from her '80s glam-rock Halloween ensemble into cozy red PJs. She gets a call from Santa himself, and announces that "it's time," signaling to the rest of us mere mortals that the Holiday season is now upon us. Her cross-generational, X-mas mega-hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (which turns 25 years old this year!) starts playing, and you can't help but cackle at how festive all of this is.

Of course, Twitter had a field day when Mariah made her announcement...

Now that we got the go-to from Mimi, we'll be blasting holiday bops the entire rest of the year—and there's nothing anyone can do to stop us!
