Tyler Posey Says OnlyFans Makes Him 'Feel Like an Object'

The Teen Wolf alum is opening up about how draining being a creator for the infamous content sharing platform can be.

Being a popular OnlyFans influencer may seem like it's all fun and sexiness on the outside looking in, but what many people neglect to realize is that content creation is often an exhausting job that (if you want to be successful at it) requires countless hours of hard work and dedication. And with any job that requires a lot of commitment, burnout is going to be inevitable from time to time. OnlyFans creators, no matter how big and famous they are, are no exception. Just ask TV star and Teen Wolf alum Tyler Posey

In a recent interview with E!, the 29-year-old actor opened up his popular OnlyFans account, and how he's been feeling lately about having to bare it all and be sexy for his subscribers on a regular basis.

"OnlyFans is bizarre. It's really, sort of mentally draining," Tyler said. "You really feel like an object on OnlyFans. I'm trying my hardest to be artistic as possible with the content I put out 'cause I don't want it to just be porn, you know? That's not what I do and I don't want to take it away from the people that are doing that. I just want to be artistic and stay in touch with my fans."

He continued: "I just can't pose naked and take myself seriously. It's weird, it feels stupid, I feel like an object."

Tyler, who just recently starred in STARZ's super queer Now Apocalypse series and who is known to take a couple of shirtless selfies here and there for Instagram, first launched his OnlyFans back in September of 2020 after noticing his fans on social media kept asking him to create an account.

"I noticed many of my fans commenting on my Instagram photos saying that I should join OnlyFans," Tyler said in an official statement about his OF debut. "I saw it as a really cool opportunity to get even closer with my fans and be more real with them. I get to talk about things on OnlyFans that I maybe wouldn’t get to otherwise and connect with more people like me. I want to accomplish creating unique content and collaborating with my friends to bring a fun experience to my fans."

For those not in the know, OnlyFans is an increasingly popular subscription-based website that allows content creators to make money from their more exclusive, premium content that they wouldn't want to share on other free social media sites. Although all kinds of artists and creators use it — Cardi BShea Couleé, and Bella Thorne are some notable celeb names who are on the platform — it is mostly associated and popular with adult actors and sex workers who use it to share their steamier goods.

As understandably exhausting as it can be to have to create sexy content all the time for your subscribers, Tyler says he's still trying to learn what the best way to continue creating content for his fans is.

"I'm still figuring out my footing in it and we'll see where it goes," he told E!.
