Sister Wives star Gwendlyn Brown opened up about her sexuality on a recent episode of the show, announcing to the world that she identifies as bisexual.
“I’m bisexual,” she said to the camera. “I’m not only attracted to women, I’m also attracted to men and people that fall into other gender spectrums.”
Gwendlyn hadn’t been hiding her sexuality, having mentioned it on her social media accounts on multiple occasions since 2020, and frequently sharing photos of her girlfriend, Beatriz Queiroz.
Still, talking about it on the long-running TLC reality series is a new step, and fortunately she had her mother there ready to throw her support behind her 21-year-old daughter.
“When [Leon] told us [they were] gay, I thought immediately, ‘Oh, so is Gwendlyn,’” Christine Brown said, referencing former sister wife Meri Brown’s child, who came out as transgender this summer but initially came out as gay back in 2017. “I knew immediately. We’ve had just great conversations about it.”
Christine also says the two joke about her own female celebrity crushes, listing off names like Blake Lively, Kelly Clarkson, and Emily Blunt while maintaining that she still identifies as heterosexual personally.
Gwendlyn and Beatriz recently celebrated their six month anniversary, per Instagram, and previously noted that they moved in together after just four months of dating, proving bisexuals are just as adept at U-Hauling as lesbians.
If you want to see what’s next for the wives and their offspring, new episodes of Sister Wives season 17 air Sundays on TLC.
