PRIDE is headed to the Los Angeles Comic Con!

This weekend at the LA Convention Center, our Editor-in-Chief Raffy Ermac and Nerd Out host Jessie Earl are leading the "Queering Sci-Fi: Finding LGBTQ+ Representation in Straight Media" panel, a conversation on past, present, and future queer representation in TV and film.

The official panel description reads:

"LGBTQ+ millennials and older generations who love science fiction and all things geek culture had little to no representation when it came to their favorite movies, TV shows, video games, and comics. Instead, they had to make the best out of what they had and find little bits and pieces of themselves in different characters from straight-dominated media. A conversation about how far LGBTQ+ representation has come in recent years, how far we still have to go, and how exciting it is for the next generation of queer geeks who get to see themselves in the media they love."

Catch the "Queering Sci-Fi: Finding LGBTQ+ Representation in Straight Media" panel this Sunday, October 13, at LA Comic Con, 2:00pm in room 410 at the LA Convention Center.
