Maleficent helped Angeline Jolie reach a personal best by being her highest-grossing live action movie of all time pulling in $521.6 million.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jolie’s second highest grossing film was Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which made $478.2 million in 2005. Maleficent grossed $186 million domestically and $335.6 million internationally.
The female-led Disney movie proved its strength by remaining in the top five for a fourth weekend in a row bringing $13 million on its fourth weekend, according to Vulture. While the movie has enjoyed international success, the movie still has the chance to gross more after its July 4 opening in Japan.
