As moviegoers clamor to catch the latest installment of The Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, siren star Penelope Cruz reveals her deepest passions to Vogue.
She also makes white lace look so seductive… Well, let’s just say ‘pure thoughts’ will be the furthest thing from your mind.
Cruz reveals her soft spot for cats in the cover story and gushes motherhood is by far the most stirring passion she’s found. “From the first second, you feel so much love. It is a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment – when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”
It’s also inspired her to devote more attention to children’s charities. “Even if you are aware of children and felt compassion, when you have your own, it multiples,” she tells Vogue. “It breaks your heart to know that there are so many children in the world suffering so much.”
Johnny Depp heaps praise on his repeat costar, saying of Cruz: “She’s the dysfunctional Bacall to my twisted Bogart. She’s the otherworldly Scarlett to my clueless Rhett. She’s the … Well, she’s Ricky to my Lucy.”
