New album and new era for the Anitta fans!

Brazilian superstar and bisexual icon Anitta is set to release her sixth studio album this August 2023. While the singer has yet to release the exact date of the release, the album is getting dropped this month, which is much sooner than some fans had expected.

On Friday, August 4, Anitta announced that the title of her new project is A Favela Love Story. She also unveiled the album’s artwork, which is a collage of images referencing her different experiences growing up in Brazil.

The official pre-save link for the album is now available for fans as well.

The lead single of A Favela Love Story, “Funk Rave,” was released on June 23. The video has already surpassed 13 million views. New songs that will also be included on the album are “Casi, Casi” and “I Used To Be A Hoe” – details that Anitta revealed during her interview with Hot Ones.

Outside of her work in music, Anitta will also appear in the seventh season of Élite, which is set to premiere October 20 on Netflix. And who knows – maybe the new Élite season might even feature some new tracks from Anitta’s upcoming album?

It’s a huge year for Anitta, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Anitta’s A Favela Love Story drops this August on all music streaming platforms.
