White Lotus has officially returned to the small screen for a second season, and don’t worry, there’s already some full-frontal to quench your thirst.
Season two sees a brand new cast kick things off at a new resort, with the wealthy guests lounging in Maui this time around. Of course, a body is discovered, and we jump back a week to spend time with a bevy of potential victims — and presumably an unknown killer — to try to suss out what happened for ourselves.
Theo James previously clued audiences in to the fact that he would end up stripping down during an interview with ET, joking, “It’s in my contract that I’m not allowed to do anything without being completely naked.”
Sure enough, his character bares all in the very first episode, opting to change swim trunks in full view of an uncertain Aubrey Plaza in a hotel room.
Unfortunately, James also warned everyone that they had to do a “more subtle version” of the scene in question, claiming that “the initial version we shot was way too much.”
But fans still seemed plenty thrilled with what they did see.
James won’t be the only one to lose his shorts in the new season of the show, but it sounds like we’ll have to tune in to see what else this latest round of White Lotushas to offer.
It helps that in between the nudity, we not only have Plaza to help keep us entertained, but Jennifer Coolidge returning in her role from season one. She must be a pretty unlucky hotel guest to keep running into these chaotic and theoretically tragic events, but all the better for us watching at home!
New episodes of White Lotus air on HBO every Sunday night, although yes, you can see the scene everyone is currently talking about over on Twitter as well.
