Are you for more The White Lotus?

HBO's Emmy-Award-winning series is currently in the middle of its second season, but the show was just renewed for a third installment.

The White Lotus follows rich vacationers and their holiday meltdowns juxtaposed with the local workers they leave in their wake. Season one was set in Hawaii, while season two adventures around Sicily. The show premiered in 2021 and was an instant hit, earning 20 Emmy nominations and wins for Jennifer Coolidge and Looking star Murray Bartlett.

“I feel so lucky to get this opportunity again and am excited to reunite with my amazingly talented collaborators on The White Lotus.” said creator, showrunner, and writer Mike White in a statement.

“Reflecting on The White Lotus humble, run-and-gun origin as a contained pandemic production, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by how Mike orchestrated one of the buzziest and most critically acclaimed shows,” added HBO's executive vice president of programming, Francesca Orsi. “And yet, he’s only continued to reach new heights in season 2, which is the ultimate testament to Mike’s raw, unparalleled vision. His courage to explore the uncharted waters of the human psyche, paired with his signature irreverent humor and buoyant directing style, have us all dreaming of more vacation days at the resort we’ve come to adore. We couldn’t be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together.”

The current season is so steamy that it has gay twitter in shambles every week after it airs. The third season will presumably follow a new group of guests at an entirely different White Lotus resort. Jennifer Coolidge is the only returning cast member in season two, but we'll see if her character returns for another round of chaos. Not much else is known about season three as of yet.
