Tamagotchi Returns for 20th Anniversary So You Can Kill Them All Over Again

'80s and '90s kids rejoice, because those electronic, egg-shaped, pocket pets are back for their 20-year anniversary! (Seriously though, how old do you feel right now?)

That’s right, Bandai America is bringing back Tamagotchi to the US next month!

If you’re so inclined, you can preorder your very own digital toy pet for $14.99, right here. The new pets will be a little smaller than they were back in 1997, but besides that, they’ll be exactly the same—giving you all the nostalgia you could ever ask for. You will be able to pick from six shells, each of which will offer six different characters for which you can care.

And just like before, if you leave them in your backpack for too long without feeding the little guy, it will die on you.
