Here's When 'The Umbrella Academy' Season 2 Is Hitting Netflix

The first official trailer for the new season of the queer-inclusive superhero series is here!

The end of the world is nigh, and it's up to our favorite misfit crew of superpowered siblings to save the day in the official trailer for the second season of Netflix's queer-inclusive series The Umbrella Academy!

The last time we saw the Hargreeves crew (which includes queer icon Ellen Page, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, and Justin H. Min) they were traveling back in time after failing their mission to try to prevent the world from ending (kinda feels timely, doesn't it?). Clips from the season 2 trailer show that the fam survived the trip back to the early '60s and are now trying to find the cause of the literal apocalypse.

While it definitely wasn't perfect, the first season of The Umbrella Academy caught the attention of LGBTQ+ fans and viewers for its queer romantic storyline that involved Sheehan's character Klaus falling in love with and mourning the loss of a fellow soldier named Dave during the Vietnam War. While we didn't see much in terms of Klaus falling in love again during the season 2 trailer, we're at least hoping his queerness will be explored further in the upcoming 10 episodes!

We'll definitely be waiting to see what happens next!

The Umbrella Academy season 2 premieres Friday, July 31 on Netflix! Watch the official trailer below!
