6 Simple Ways to Boost Your Confidence

Sometimes our confidence plummets. The man you finally built up the courage to talk to rejects you, you don't get the promotion you've been waiting for, and another guy cancels on you at the last minute. Eventually, it will get to you. After all, you're only human. Regardless, you can’t lie on the floor forever. You need to get back on the horse!

Here are six simple ways to boost your confidence when you're feeling down.

1. Remember: You are not your X Hunger Games Gif

You are not your weight. Your depression. Your anxiety. Your fears. You are much more than that. Say it to yourself until you start believing it.

2. Write it down Dear Diary gif

Anything. Everything. (And don't worry; you don't have to start each entry with Dear Diary.) Writing down your thoughts not only transfers some of your anxieties to a physical object, but also helps clarify some issues.

3. Remind yourself how awesome you are You Is smart gif

We sometimes forget that we’re the shit. Think of all the times you’ve helped people, and how much you’ve grown. Think of all the challenges you’ve overcome.

4. Call up a friend Friend Support

Friends are there to celebrate the good times, but they’re also there to cheer you up. Don’t feel like you have to go through anything alone.

5. Listen to your pump up jamsThis is my song gif

Find music that makes you feel awesome. I listen to rap/hip hop; the artists often brag about how amazing they are. And, it reminds me how great I am.

6. Get some exercise Don Jon Gif

Endorphins are your best friend. Release them. Let them flood your mind.
