Brilliant Edit Reimagines Pop Divas as Mean Girls Characters
The new Charlie's Angels film isn’t even out yet and it’s already brought together three iconic ladies to sing its music.
And because you can always find at least one way to make even the most amazing things even more amazing, somebody has now remixed part of that video with a clip from Mean Girls, placing Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, and Ariana Grande in the roles of Regina George, Karen Smith, and Gretchen Wieners.
The scene used is the one where Janis Ian introduces Lindsay Lohan’s Cady to The Plastics, from the hair full of secrets to your typical selfish backstabbing slut-faced ho-bag.

It’s honestly beautiful. 10/10 would watch a whole remade movie with these leading ladies of pop ruling the high school halls.
And naturally once the inspiration hit, other Twitter users were eager to add their own tidbits to the remix potential.

Of course, it wasn’t long ago that Ari took on the role of Regina George in her own “thank u, next” music video, which was partly inspired by Mean Girls. And that music video really just made us want mini-remakes of all our favorite ‘00s movies with pop divas, so again, this is a really great start.
And it’s a good salve for the long wait for the actual Charlie's Angels movie...which we still don’t get to see until November 15.
Rachel Kiley is presumably a writer and definitely not a terminator. She can usually be found crying over queerbaiting in the Pitch Perfect franchise or on Twitter, if not both.
