Aretha Franklin, the critically-acclaimed musical icon and Queen of Soul, passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 76.
Reports say that Franklin was at home when she passed, the cause of death being an advanced case of pancreatic cancer according to her publicist Gwendolyn Quinn.
The incredible life and career of the one and only Aretha spans generations, and touches hundreds of thousands of hearts, even in her death. And so many notable people took to Twitter to mourn her passing and marvel at her masterful talents.
