Cultural and gay icon Dame Elizabeth Taylor has joined Twitter madness and become obsessed with the site according to Perez Hilton.
The 77-year-old Academy Award winner and AIDS activist Taylor became turned on to the site when she had time on her hands during routine visits to the hospital this week, her spokesman Dick Guttman told Perez. She's "fallen in love" with the site, Guttman said.
Taylor is already up to over 10,000 followers on Twitter and she's following 55, which are primarily AIDS-related tweeters and some celebrities including Joan Rivers, Demi Moore and Maria Shriver.
