Make room... Sasha Colby is here!

It's safe to say that fans around the world were gagged when Colby was announced as one of the 16 new queens competing on season 15 of RuPaul's Drag Race.

"It was a longtime dream of mine to be on Drag Race [and] to be able to showcase my love for her drag. I've never had another job except for drag. I'm useless in everything else, so this is it kiddos," Colby tells PRIDE.

Now why is this such a gag? Gather around children...

Not only is Sasha Colby the mother of season 14 fan favorite Kerry Colby, but she's also a well-known drag performer in the community. She won Miss Continental in 2012 and has even walked on stage with Jennifer Lopez at the iHeartRadio Awards.

Like her daughter, Colby is an out and proud trans woman who's looking forward to showing more authentic representation on screen.

"Seeing my daughter actually compete as an open trans woman, an outwardly fully-realized woman, was so refreshing. I finally saw myself on the show. Representation is so important. She's my daughter for a reason, so she was excited to see what momma gotta do."

With so many well-known challenges coming back for season 15, Colby spills on which challenge she was dreading heading into the workroom.

"Snatch Game!! Come on... 97% like chance fail rate. It's not easy! I think people know me as a dancer, as a performer. I really was looking forward to acting and being funny to show another side of me."

The new season of RuPaul's Drag Race premieres Friday, January 6 on MTV. To see the full interview with Sasha Colby, check out the video below.
