Longtime LGBT ally (and former Advocate cover girl) Pink just debuted her newest music video for the latest single off her 2012 album, The Truth About Love.

It’s festival fever over here in Europe. On a train from London last week, I was surrounded by backpacks and their owners who had just returned from the Isle of White festival, which kicks off festival season in the UK. Appearing in various festivals this season around the world: Bruce Springsteen, Laura Marling, Lily Allen, Florence and the Machine (one hot redhead who makes great eye candy for the lesbians), just to name a few.

While Oscar – or Hollywood as a whole – has rarely sought to represent queerness positively on film, there remain a few handfuls of performances that, for good or bad, helped to bring visibility to lesbian, bi, trans and queer characters throughout the years including turns by Cher, Hilary Swank, Charlize Theron, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Whoopi Goldberg, Kate Winslet, Whoopi Goldberg, Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman and Annette Beining.
