ABC Family’s Chasing Life Has a Bisexual Love Triangle on the Horizon

Brenna has got a lot on her plate: her sister April is diagnosed with leukemia, and she has a romantic relationship with her tattoo artist boss, Kieran. However, it also looks like things may be heating up with her new lesbian friend, Greer (Gracie Dzienny). Hints at this relationship has been seen with ABC Family’s choice to use the hashtag #BrennaandGreer.

According to AfterEllen, Haley Ramm, who plays Brenna on the show, said that her character will start to become not as moody, and a more likeable character. “I’m excited about that. She gets sweeter, she gets a little more compassionate," Ramm said, "Because of that things get confusing. There’s a whole love triangle going on.”

The show’s out executive producer Joni Lefkowitz says that Brenna’s “sexual identity crisis” is a part of finding herself. “She falls in love with people and she falls in love with a guy and a girl, and it just happens to be that—she’s not really angsty about that, she’s angsty about who to choose, but not about what gender they are. I think it’s fun.”
