The Ghostbusters remake just keeps getting better and better. Renowned funny women Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy had already signed on to star in the all-female reboot of the comedy classic, and now SNL’s Leslie Jones, and one of our favorites, Kate McKinnon, have been cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bridesmaids director Paul Feig will helm the reboot of the movie about parapsychologists who kicstart their own paranormal extermination / investigations business to rid the city of ghosts.

The 1984 blockbuster starred Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver as the proverbial woman in peril.

There’s no word yet as to who each actress will play, but with that cast it’s sure to be a winner, and we could not be happier that McKinnon will get her shot at a blockbuster and the chance to do battle with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!

Production will likely begin this summer, according to THR.
