SheWired Shot of The Day: Charlize Theron, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Marlene Dietrich J’adore Dior - Video

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value. Well, we at SheWired have made an executive decision to just throw any of our pseudo-feminist caution to the wind and to just post our favorite shot of the day, whether it be sexy, salacious, or just because…Dior managed to resurrect a few of the most famous icons to costar with Theron in a new killer ad for J’adore fragrance.

There is a moment in just about every workday when we come across something sexy, gratuitous and completely pointless that we wish we could post but don't under the auspices of there being nothing lesbian about it and often there being no redeeming value. Well, we at SheWired have made an executive decision to just throw any of our pseudo-feminist caution to the wind and to just post our favorite shot of the day, whether it be sexy, salacious, or just because…

We’re programmed to love anything goddess Chalize Theron does; even before Oscar-winning turn in Monster. There are few who can go toe-to-toe against Theron and stack up when it comes to beauty and talent.

But Dior managed to resurrect a few of the most famous icons of feminine celebrity from yesteryear to costar with Theron in a new killer ad for J’adore fragrance. Charlize fits in flawlessly, pecking Grace Kelly on the cheek and checking out Marlene Dietrich. There is undoubtedly no other actress working today who get hold her own, yet alone command attention, in a clip with these great legendary beauties of the silver screen including with Marilyn Monroe.

Created by TBWA\Paris and director Jean-Jacques Annaud, AdWeek.com rightly points out, “The setting doesn't hurt—this was reportedly the first commercial filmed inside the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, which lends immediate luxury and grandeur. The story is all but nonexistent—a last-minute guest at a fashion show turns out to be one of the runway models. But Theron is magnetic enough to cut through the air of faux mystery and make a memorable impact.”
