Having survived Hurricane Ida --now with much urban legend about the waves, swells and hurling on the boat --the Sweet cruise got much sweeter hitting dry land in Costa Maya. There it was lesbians abounding in the poolside bar. It's all bikinis and booze while others in the group joined a beach clean-up.
That evening the girls donned their best retro neon, leg warmers, mesh gloves and occasional new-wave tee for the 80's party.
Next up, we docked in Belize City. Once back on the boat we ran from event to event including Jenny McNulty's Bingo, Nat and Meg's Karoake, Cathy DeBuono and Jill Bennett's Trivia with the CDB Crew, comedy with headliners Gloria Bigelow and Sandra Valls and the Club Skirts / Dinah at Sea party with Sweet founder Shannon Wentworth and Club Skirts founder Mariah Hansen. Also included are Brianna Stockton, Dani Campbell, Shawnee Harkins, Corday and Katherine Linton.
