The X Change rate keeps going up!

Between earning the title of Miss Congeniality on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10, winning All Stars 4, and lip syncing for the title of Queen of All Queens on All Stars 7, Monét X Change has absolutely established herself as a drag legend.

One of the biggest highlights of All Stars 7 was X Change’s opera performance in the Variety Show, and the queen is now taking her talents to the next level. X Change will be playing the role of Duchess Krakenthorp in a new production of The Daughter of the Regiment.

“Beyond excited to be making my Minnesota Opera debut this winter in a role that is beyond iconic, the Duchess of Krankenthorp,” X Change wrote in an Instagram post. “Doing a role in drag is something that this lil gay boy from college never thought would be a thing.”

“The Daughter of the Regiment has romance, humor, vocal pyrotechnics-and one of the most unique roles in the repertoire, the Duchess of Krakenthorp,” the Minnesota Opera company wrote in a statement. “This cameo role has a storied history of portrayal by actors and public figures (including late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg and actress Bea Arthur). In MN Opera’s production, the role of the Duchess of Krakenthorp will be performed by none other than RuPaul’s Drag Race double crown winner Monét X Change. Don’t miss Monét X Change this February 4-12!”

From creating a sponge dress to becoming an All Stars twinner to now performing at a major opera production… it’s safe to say that X Change has come a long way since her introduction to the world on Drag Race. And we’re so proud to see it!

Get your opera glasses out – Monét X Change is about to blow us all away yet again.

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 premieres Friday, January 6 on MTV.
