Acclaimed actress Maria Bello is releasing a memoir about coming out as a “modern family.”
Dey Street Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, will publish the book, Miracles and Madness, in winter 2015. According to a press release from HarperCollins, the book will explore the themes surrounding “sexuality, partnership, family and spirituality.”
The memoir will be an expansion on her revealing column for The New York Times “Coming Out as a Modern Family,” which was published Nov. 2013.
In the column, she opens up about telling her 12-year-old son about her relationship with her best friend, Clare Munn, a Zimbabwe-born activist and entrepreneur, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bello also shares how she and Munn are raising her son with his father Dan McDermott.
