President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s PR stunt on Tuesday had critics calling them out about the ethics of using the White House lawn to boost the business of a campaign donor who has also taken control of part of the federal government, but the photos from the event had the internet’s mind hilariously in the gutter.
On March 11, the South Lawn was turned into a Tesla showroom after Trump had taken to Truth Social to announce his plan to buy a “brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence” in the wake of Telsa stock taking a nose dive. “You should cherish him,” Trump said at the event while standing with Musk, Politico reports. “We have to take care of our high IQ people, because we don’t have too many of them.”
At the staged event, Trump and Musk posed for photographs together while sitting in a red Tesla, and the combination of close proximity, the men’s seemingly close relationship, and the bizarre facial expressions caught on film had the internet’s imagination running wild.
The Lincoln Project — a moderate conservative political action committee dedicated to opposing Trump — posted the photo on Musk’s own social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Caption this. We’ll go first: ‘That’s not the gearstick,’” and that was all people on the internet needed to run with the idea.
Some people joked about Stormy Daniels being right when she described…little Trump as having a “huge mushroom head. Like a toadstool,” while others captioned the photo "Harder, babygirl? Yes please, Daddy” and "Elon 'Trump couldn’t decide if he wanted a Tesla or a Hummer, so I gave him both.’” In short? They’re hilarious but definitely NSFW!

“They said it wasn’t possible to devalue a Tesla any further. Ha! Hold my ketamine shake and watch this.”
"POV: Your self-driving car just locked the doors and whispered, 'You are about to get what you deserve'"
“'Oh Elon you touch is so exquisite. It reminds of when I had a real human for a wife.' Donald Trump"
