A rebellion is brewing on a moon in Zach Synder’s latest sci-fi action epic, the fittingly titled Rebel Moon.

The director teased the upcoming film today during Netflix’s Tudum global fan event with an exclusive behind-the-scenes video.

The film focuses on a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy which is drawn into an intergalactic war when it is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force. However, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, soon becomes the colony’s — and the galaxy’s — best hope for survival. She is tasked with training fighters to take on their enemies, and stand against the Mother World. But to do so, she will need to assemble a band of unlikely warriors — outsiders, insurgents, peasants, and orphans of war from different worlds — who will come together to unite against a common enemy and shared desire for revenge.

Rebel Moon premieres December 22 on Netflix. Check out the behind-the-scenes video below.
