Fasten your seat belts, queer Star Wars stans, because we've got some major news for you...

According to rumored reports circulating online that originated from Star Wars fan podcast network Kessel Run Transmissions, Grammy- and Emmy-winning Atlanta star Donald Glover (also known by his musical stage name Childish Gambino) is in talks to reprise the role he played as young Lando Calrissian in 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story in a spinoff streaming series for Disney+.

Though no official announcement has been made from the Lucasfilm or Disney teams, and KRT didn't specifically name their sources for this news, the possibility of a standalone series for the Lando Calrissian character is an exciting one for queer fans, especially since in 2018, Solo screenwriters Lawrence and Jonathan Kasdan both said Lando is pansexual.

"I would say yes," Jonathan Kasdan replied when asked outright by HuffPo whether or not Lando was Pan. "There’s a fluidity to Donald [Glover] and Billy Dee’s [portrayal of Lando’s] sexuality."

He continued:

"He doesn’t make any hard and fast rules. I think it’s fun. I don’t know where it will go."

Glover himself also acknowledged Lando's queerness, saying "How can you not be pansexual in space?"during an interview about the role with SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio back in '18.

As much as we'd love to believe that the Star Wars universe is finally going to become inclusive and representative of the many queer fans who have stuck with the franchise from the beginning, we have to reiterate that is still officially unconfirmed at this point, and considering Star Wars' less than stellar track record, and the fact that all we've gotten from the film series so far is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, we're not getting our hopes too high up.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens...
