Batman: Urban Legends #6

Robin aka Tim Drake has a queer awakening in the new Batman comic.

Let's be honest, Batman and Robin have been giving off low-key queer vibes ever since the TV series in the ‘60s. Finally, for one of them, their bisexuality is canon.

In Batman: Urban Legends #6, the most recent issue in the ongoing Batman Family anthology series, Robin stars in the "Sum of Our Parts" story. In the conclusion of the story, Robin (aka Tim Drake) has a “lighbulb moment” realization that he is queer while fighting side by side against the Chaos Monsters with his crush and soon-to-be hot date Bernard.

It's in the heat of the battle that Robin realizes what he wants, which leads him to accept a date with Bernard after the fighting ends. The comic concludes with Tim showing up at Bernard’s door, opening up about his feelings, and the two of them planning a romantic rendezvous.

Queer fans who have been waiting for a moment like this were stoked and spoke out in support of the storyline on Twitter.

Will this new dynamic duo go the distance? Well, readers will hopefully learn more when the story picks back up in Batman: Urban Legends #10 due out in December.
